The twenty-third day of our commentary from the International Formation house in Ann Arbor, MI following our Meditations for the 40 Days. John Yocum comments on Psalm 65.

Prayer provides great benefits, but the blessedness of living with God in his presence is itself even greater than the benefits prayer brings.

¹ Praise is due to thee, O God, in Zion; and to thee shall vows be performed, ² O thou who hearest prayer! To thee shall all flesh come ³ on account of sins. When our transgressions prevail over us, thou dost forgive them. ⁴ Blessed is he whom thou dost choose and bring near, to dwell in thy courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, thy holy temple! – Psa 65:1-4 RSV

John is a lifelong committed brother from Jackson, Michigan. After having spent 15 years in the UK and 7 years in the Philippines, he returned to the US in 2011. John has degrees in History and Philosophy and a Doctorate in Theology from The University of Oxford.
