For today’s installment of our Advent Meditation series, our brother Ted Kennedy provides commentary on Mk 13:33-37. Take a listen or click here to download.

Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. Therefore stay awake-for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning- lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.” Mk 13:33-37
Ted Kennedy
Ted is a lifelong committed brother who lives in Chelsea, Michigan (just west of Ann Arbor). He works for the Trenton Corporation, overseeing their Information Systems and helping with accounting and tax compliance. (Trenton was started by Ted’s grandfather in 1950, has passed down through the family and is now owned by Ted’s brother, Charley). Ted is also the North American regional controller of the brotherhood, and still dabbles in software development whenever he gets a chance. For fun, he teaches brothers how to handle their finances well and has developed software to help them do that.
