The thirty-seventh day of our commentary from the International Formation house in Ann Arbor, MI following our Meditations for the 40 Days. John Yocum comments on Exodus 14.

The Exodus is God’s own work of salvation, saving us when we could not save ourselves.

¹³ And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. ¹⁴ The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be still.” – Exo 14:13-14 RSV

John is a lifelong committed brother from Jackson, Michigan. After having spent 15 years in the UK and 7 years in the Philippines, he returned to the US in 2011. He works with communities across the region. John has a Doctorate in Theology from The University of Oxford. He has taught Theology at Oxford, at Loyola School of Theology in Manila and at the Catholic Seminary in Detroit, Michigan.
