On 2 September, three men made full commitments in Chelsea, Michigan: Peter Mayoros, who renewed his commitment, and Chava Martínez and Joseph Uy, who both made their first full commitment.
Peter was born and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was born into a family with parents David and Maggie and brother Daniel. He grew up in the Word of Life Community in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a part of the Sword of the Spirit. He went to University of Michigan and studied Industrial Operations Engineering. Currently he is living and working in Allendale, Michigan, serving on staff with UCO at Grand Valley State University.
Salvador (or Chava) was born in Monterrey, Mexico. He is the youngest of five children. His family has been part of the community even before he was born. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s in Organizational Development. Since returning to Mexico after two years in the International Formation House, he is leading “Superación Juvenil”, fundraising for our mission in Mexico. He will also be leading a chapter of our university outreach at the “Tecnológico de Monterrey”.
Joseph was born in Quezon City in the Philippines as the youngest of nine children. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of the Philippines. He will return to Manila in a few weeks and will split his time between finances for the brotherhood and serving on “Christ’s Youth in Action” staff, reaching out to university students.
Please keep these brothers in their prayers for this coming year!
