Jamie Treadwell, our brother and artist living in London, is currently in Florida for an exhibition of his work. The event is being held this Friday, February 6th, 2015 in Naples, Florida. Tickets are now on sale for the event. If you are in the area, do please attend. If you have friends in the area, please consider forwarding the invitation.

Nature of Hope Flier final 7pm

Jamie has been in Florida this month preparing for the exhibit, which will take place at Moorings Presbyterian Church. The Pastor of the church interviewed Jamie at a Sunday church service and invited people to attend a later presentation by Jamie. They expected 25 people for the event, but 70 people came on the Wednesday evening.

Olga Arkhangelskaya, owner of “Gallery on Fifth,” one of the largest art galleries in Florida, located in Mercato, Naples, gave this endorsement:

Jamie Treadwell’s work is beautiful with stunning technique. They carry an accessible spirituality with compassion and sincerity. These works build bridges between nations, factions and religions. Extremely important not only for Naples, but for anywhere in the world.

Mike Kramer builds gallery walls.

Mike Kramer, a brother from our house in Grand Rapids, Michigan, builds 24 gallery wall segments inside the Moss Hall, Naples, Florida.

Anyone who knows Jamie would suspect that he’d gather a small army to help on such an event. Mike Kramer has already arrived from our Grand Rapids house to build the gallery walls, along with two young people from the Christian community in Grand Rapids, acting as videographers for the event. Another special collaborator is Marianne Kantert, who is Art Director for the event, and came via connection with our Christian community in Germany. She will also exhibit some of her sculpture work.

Though many are stuck in the snowy white north, I invite us to enjoy from afar some of what will be on display at “Nature of Hope” in Jamie’s online gallery: http://www.jamietreadwell.com/artist/gallery/
